...dee-lighted you're here! {saw this on my sister's studio wall - she's a famous graphic designer. guess who?}

i wanted to do this ... http://www.where-bloggers-create.blogspot.com/ but didn't have my creative space {Studio!} ready {presentable} in time for the deadline. our home has several 'under construction' spots happening and my studio was buried with piles of things.

but- it's ready now! so i'm going ahead just for fun!

...and i've been trying to post this for five {5!} days... finally found out that it's because of Int. Expl. 9! Grrr. frustrations galore.

in my tummy i'm doing cartwheels and backflips... because this is finally working! woo-hoo! here we go-

 

here it is. freshly cleaned and organized. i'm such a messy creator... it's nice every now and then to put it all away nice and remember what's all there!

 
another view. i love to use vintage things to store supplies and lovelies. the cabinet under the birdcage, i'm told, belonged in a post office in a nearby ghost town... it's def. old! i love it... & all things old.

 
...supplies, ephemera, vintage sewing notions, clear glass jars! i love clear glass jars! cameras. toy cameras. wire baskets. coffee filters, crepe paper, chandy crystals, old buttons, old game pieces, ...all deliciousness. waiting to be re-purposed in some fabulous way...

 

quilts; tiny ones, big ones, some just begun (the strips hanging on the door), some finished... some only dreamt of -still folded neatly in stacks of fabric. cotton yumminess. old french lace, hand tatting, patterns... patient patterns.

 

...being surrounded with inspiration. it's a must, isn't it? things made previously... favorite photos, collage art.

 
stacks and piles and drawers, bins and baskets and boxes- full of possibility in progress. dreams.

 
ink wells, fountain pens, nibs, coverless book stacks, old trunk drawers snuggle stamps, old bottles, chippy paint layers on old tin ceiling tiles, & ...tim holtz reminding us to stay curious... !

 
happy, happy, joy, joy -things. the delicate little elephant there? that's me.

somehow i've got 34 boards going. and it's free. how can this be? something so gratifying- free? i'm afraid they're going to tell me i've reached my quota or i'm being a pinterest-hogger, and i must stop.

...collecting things that i love is such an addiction, {...it's a problem} so Pinterest is perfect. it's so simple... thousands of favorite things all in one little place!

hmmm... whaddya know! this is from a flowering fruit tree outside of our library. the one next to it smells like !!!wine!!! while in blossom. it's divine.

ahhh... Spring. love...

today our skies are so full of smoke that here in the middle of the Rocky Mountains -it looks like L.A. can hardly see the mountains. my heart goes out to all of those who are living with the fear of fire near their homes. such a scary time... please God, ...rain. lots of rain.

...i think this is a stunning thought:

what if you woke up tomorrow and all you had left was what you thanked God for today?
